The Best Hypeddit Alternative in 2026 (With a Real Free Plan)

Hypeddit popularized the download gate: fans unlock a free track by liking, commenting and following on SoundCloud. It works — but between rising prices, a cluttered interface and features locked behind the highest tiers, a lot of artists are looking for a Hypeddit alternative that does the same job faster and cheaper.

What to look for in an alternative

• Real gating, not just links — likes, comments, follows and reposts verified through SoundCloud, not an honor-system button.
• Email collection — your list is the only channel no algorithm can take away.
• A usable free plan — you should be able to run real gates before paying anything.
• Speed — the fan page has to load instantly or your story traffic bounces.

Where SoundTrail fits

SoundTrail was built around exactly that checklist. Gates verify SoundCloud actions through the API — likes, comments and follows land for real, and reposts are confirmed by scanning the fan's actual repost list. The free plan includes 50 gates with like, comment and follow actions; Basic adds repost, email collection and CSV export; Pro removes branding and unlocks everything.

Pricing starts at IDR 49.000/month (about $3) — a fraction of what the incumbents charge — and every plan is a one-time payment with no auto-renew surprise.

Switching takes minutes

Connect SoundCloud, paste your track link, pick your actions, share the new link in your bio and your track's buy-link slot. Your old links keep working wherever they were posted; your new traffic just starts compounding.

Try it on your next release: create a free gate and compare the numbers yourself. New to gates? Read what a download gate is first.
